Planning and Zoning Commission
The Town Planning and Zoning Commission consists of five members and up to two alternates appointed by the Board of Trustees.
The Buena Vista Planning and Zoning Commission meets on the first and Third Wednesdays of the month at 6 p.m in the Pinon Room of the Buena Vista Community Center, 715 East Main Street.

Are
you interested in playing a role in shaping the future of the Town of Buena
Vista? The Planning & Zoning Commission has three vacancies.
Two of the three positions are alternate positions; alternates attend all
meetings, but only vote when there are not enough regular members of the
Commission present. The Planning & Zoning Commission reviews all
applications for subdivisions, special use permits, and variances. The
Commission has authority to review and approve Comprehensive Sign Plan
Applications as well as Special Review Sign Permits. The Commission is
involved with reviewing planning and zoning related rules and regulations for
the Town such as zoning code amendments. The Commission is a key partner
in long range planning processes. The Commission meets the first and
third Wednesdays of every month beginning at 6 PM. If you live in the

Municipal Sign Code:
Businesses that wish to permit their signs in accordance with the current sign code will need to do so before November 1, 2009. All signs in the Town of Buena Vista are required to have a permit. Sign Permit applications received by 5:00 p.m. on October 30, 2009 will be processed in accordance with the existing Sign Code.
