Tree Board

The Buena Vista Tree Board consists of seven members, six of which are appointed by the Board of Trustees. The seventh member is the Town's Director of Public Works. This Board develops and recommends to the Board of Trustees a written plan for the care and preservation of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets and in other public areas and updates that plan annually. The Board also brings to the Trustees' attention any action or condition in apparent violation of any town ordinance pertaining to trees.

The Buena Vista Tree Board meets bi-monthly on the first Thursday of the month at 6:PM at the Publics Works Department Conference Room, 755 Gregg Drive.

Adopt-A-Tree Program
The Buena Vista Tree Board oversees the Adopt-A-Tree Program. Trees are available to Town residents who are willing to care for and water a tree planted on Town property adjacent to their property. All trees are paid for and installed by the Town of Buena Vista. Other than the monthly charge for water usage, there will be no other charge to the property owner. The Tree Board will select the date for planting and notify the property owner of that planting date. The Tree Board will choose the tree species and site.  For more information contact bvpwadmin@buenavistaco.gov or Gary at the Pleasant Avenue Nursery at 395-6955.
