Frequently asked questions:

Can unattended minors ride the bus alone?

Yes. Children Ages 15 and older may ride the bus alone during daylight hours with no additional charge. Children ages 14 and under (contact Black Hills Stage Lines for age limits) will have to obtain a form from Black Hills Stage Lines (1-877-779-2999 Toll Free) and pay an additional charge of $5.00. An adult must be present when the child gets on and off the bus. There can be no bus transfers for any minors during the trip.

Does the bus go to DIA?

No, the bus only goes to Union Station or the Greyhound Bus stop in Denver.
At the Greyhound bus stop you can pick up an RTD bus to DIA. Currently there is
no charge if you have a bus ticket. You must use the RTD bus the same day as
the date on your ticket. Please go to the RTD website to purchase tickets if you
      need to.  www.rtd-denver.com

Is there a fee for parking at the airport?

The Buena Vista Airport does have parking available with the following fees:

              Short Term-north fenced lot:
                      Automobile: $3.00/daily    $10.00/weekly   $20/monthly
RV, boat or travel trailer parking is NOT ALLOWED

The Buena Vista Airport also has a shuttle that will travel up to 10 miles from
the airport for a fee of $10 per trip. Please contact the airport for availability.

What do I do if I miss my bus?

The bus tickets are valid for one year from the date of purchase. You can use
your ticket at a different time. Or there is a 20% Cancellation fee.

How can I purchase tickets?

You can purchase tickets at Town Hall Monday through Friday
from 8:00 to 5:00 (Cash or Local Check Only). You can also
purchase tickets by going to www.blackhillsstagelines.com and
use a debit or credit card.

What if I want to go farther than Denver Union Station/Greyhound Bus Stop?

From Denver you can connect with Amtrak, DIA, or Greyhound via their websites

                                  www.amtrak.com
                                  www.flydenver.com
                                  www.greyhound.com

What does it mean tickets are first come first serve?

The bus tickets are valid one year from the date you purchased them. If for some
reason the bus is full you will have to wait for the next scheduled bus. At this
time we have not had any issues with the bus not having enough room; however
the town feels that the public should be aware of the possible inconvenience.

Who do I contact if I have any problems while I am traveling?

You can contact 1-800-672-8302 for information or assistance.
