Planning and Zoning Vacant Positions:

Are you interested in playing a role in shaping the future of the Town of Buena Vista?  The Planning & Zoning Commission has three vacancies.  Two of the three positions are alternate positions; alternates attend all meetings, but only vote when there are not enough regular members of the Commission present.  The Planning & Zoning Commission reviews all applications for subdivisions, special use permits, and variances.  The Commission has authority to review and approve Comprehensive Sign Plan Applications as well as Special Review Sign Permits.  The Commission is involved with reviewing planning and zoning related rules and regulations for the Town such as zoning code amendments.  The Commission is a key partner in long range planning processes.  The Commission meets the first and third Wednesdays of every month beginning at 6 PM.  If you live in the Town of Buena Vista and you think you are interested in being a Commissioner, contact Jennifer Dixon at 719-395-8643 x.14.
