[ARCHIVED] Be prepared for wildfire season!

wildfire

One of the easiest ways to stay informed during wildfire season is to sign up for Chaffee Emergency Alerts, also known as reverse-911. By opting into the Everbridge service in Chaffee County, you will be notified before, during, and after incidents that could affect your safety. The system will send you messages about situations as they occur, across multiple devices. Your information is never shared with any third parties. Click to sign up:

Another way to prepare is to put together a personal and family evacuation plan. View this checklist to see what you need to do to be ready to go in the event of an emergency. If you are a homeowner or linked up with an HOA and need information about what to do to protect your home and neighborhood from wildfire, check out this weblink or contact Colorado State Forest Service Forester J.T. Shaver.

These documents and contacts are shared through Chaffee County's Community Wildfire Protection Plan update, which is facilitated by the Envision Chaffee County Fire and Healthy Landscapes Partnership.
