BV Main Street People's Stage Announces Free Concert Series


Buena Vista, Colo. – June 9, 2017 – The People’s Stage on Historic East Main Street in Buena Vista, Colorado will be continuing its free summer concert series starting Saturday, June 10, 2017. The community stage at 320 E. Main Street (next to the old Pearl Theater) will host six bands during the summer of 2017. The bands, booked by the Buena Vista Main Street group, will play every other Saturday from 3-5pm, June through August. The full schedule of free live music is listed below.

Saturday, June 10: Articipate’s BAM!

Salidans Brooke Beasley, Alan Mueller and Mitchell Tanner of Collegiate Rok Skool, folk/rock.

Saturday, June 24:  Colorado Homegrown

Rock & Roll, Blues, Soul. 

Saturday, July 8:  Leon Joseph Littlebird

Native American flute, acoustic storytelling. 

Saturday, July 22:  Wylie Crazy Horse Jones

Solo reggae loop performance

Saturday, August 12:  Mark’s Midnight Carnival Show

Colorado indie rock. 

Saturday, August 26:  Backyard Berserker

Alma, CO soul/rock/folk. 

The People’s Stage was founded in 2015 on the premise of providing families and the community of Buena Vista with free entertainment during the summer months. Outside of the live music that has been arranged by the Buena Vista Main Street group, the stage is available for use for events by anyone living in the Buena Vista area. In order to reserve the stage, community members must email vista@buenavistaco.gov or call (719) 395-8643 ext. 19 with the date they would like to use the stage. The People’s Stage also has a PA system that can be used upon request.

About The People’s Stage

The Buena Vista Main Street People’s Stage was created in 2015 through a collaborative effort between the Town of Buena Vista, Buena Vista Main Street, Colorado Main Street, community volunteers, and private sponsors as a vacant lot activation designed to add vibrancy to downtown Buena Vista. The lot is open for use year-round, and a variety of performers are scheduled every summer. All performances are free and open to the public.
