The Town of Buena Vista is currently seeking applications to fill three vacancies on the Tree Advisory Board. These are volunteer positions, open to Town residents with an interest in urban forestry. Tree Advisory Board meetings take place on the first Thursday of every month at 2:00 pm.
The Tree Advisory Board is responsible for the urban forest within the Town limits and oversees the Adopt-A- Tree program, the Tree City USA Program, and Arbor Day activities. The Board develops and recommends to the Board of Trustees a written plan for the care and preservation of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets, and in other public areas and updates that plan annually.
